Equipment

  • 1 Medium Pot
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Chef's knife
  • 1 Wooden spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 C Chicken cooked
  • 1/3 C Lemon juice
  • 6 C Broth
  • 1 C Orzo
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp Thyme
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cucumber sandwiches for serving

Instructions
 

  • Chop carrots and celery. In pot, saute with butter.
  • In bowl, mix chicken with lemon juice and lemon pepper then set aside.
  • After carrots and celery are tender, add broth and orzo to pot. Then add garlic powder, onion powder, thyme and sugar. Simmer 10 minutes then add chicken and cream; simmer about 5 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper, to taste. Serve with cucumber sandwiches.
